This is why funny is good, this is why funny is needed and this is why I do funny.

Les that's right here i am, I know it’s hard to believe that finally you get to hear from the eye brows that are the black and white face on the right... I knew i should have photo-shopped myself or at least had some “threading” done. 


So what am I here to talk about? Well I have no idea really, I am just banging away at the keyboard in the hope that something will come up.....Hang on.... that last sentence was simply rude. Well it was to my mind.

Anyway, what does @Transmit7 hold for me? Well I like to be funny and where possible funny is where i want to be. There are a lot of serious short films out there all proving a point and making a stand. I don’t feel this is me. Yeah I can be serious but don’t want to be serious.

The world is currently in melt down. People are rioting in the streets, the economy is in the toilet and the stock markets are heading down down deeper and down and to make things worse the X-Factor is back on ITV... 4+ months of what can only be described as humiliating TV.

So how do we escape this mire of depression, we turn to something to make us feel better about ourselves. Something that will cheer us up and make the world seems less of a shit place. We turn to comedy. Let’s look at the evidence, let’s look at the decade that created some of the UK’s finest comedy talents the 80’s.

In the 10 years that fashion forgot, we had riots, a declining economy and on the goggle-box Opportunity Knocks and Stars In Your Eyes...  oh and there was a Conservative government. This all sounds so familiar.

It is looking like we are heading into another decade of troubles, Instead of the miner’s its the public sector workers. The IRA has been replaced by Al Qaeda as national threats and we may not be bombing Libya but we are still getting involved.

Lets not even think about wars, a cold island off of Argentina is now a dusty sweet box in Afghanistan. This is all a bit freaky... As yet the closest I can find to phone hacking is something to do with Helicopters.

No I am not saying @Transmit7 is going to make us international comedy stars and change the world, but I do think the time is right for a new way of doing things, a new way to make people laugh and I think we are in the perfect position to push this forward. So please join us as we make funny.
